^ I'm going to forward the entire email chain to the Diamond desk today and tell them if it's not resolved (check in hand) by end of next week I'm cancelling my upcoming reservation and likely won't prioritize Hilton brands in the future.

As to why I didn't deal with it then and there at the hotel... this was a work trip and we had to leave the hotel quickly in the morning.
