Has anyone experienced this or have a way around it?
Like there's a couple time that i wanted to surprise my parents and treat them to a better cabin with my own credit card after they bought economy.Becuase they will never do it with their own money!
But BA cannot do it! They have to use the same credit card(card under the same time) as time of booking.

This time Fiance and I are going to Vancouver, we got economy seats in January. But after we got engaged I want to give us a treat and called BA and ask for upgrade to Club with money. This time as i'm one of the people travelling I thought I could use my credit card. But they say no. Even though I explain to them that I want to surprise him and MOST importantly he spent most of his credit card limit on my ring so even if he did "authorise" the upgrade. The bank wouldnt!

So i'm a lil bummed But the girl on the line was very nice and she told me the flight is not full and it's worth to go to the check in desk and ask for a cash upgrade.

Oh O forgot to mention. When i try to do the upgrade online. It'll only upgrade me DUB-LHR Club , LHR- YVR - WT+ and it'll cost about 3400euro.
But when i called up. its 2750euro to upgrade the whole trip to Club....so yeah.
