The rate description clearly states "Ambassador weekend night certificate redemption. Pay for first night and get the second night free" yet the price that is shown, even in the rate details, is € 340. I find that rather confusing.
Since the second night is supposed to be free, will I indeed be paying € 280 (i.e. the rate for the first night) or will they charge me € 340 ?
Yep 280, online (like 241's) shows Average nightly rate , and reservation email confirmation just the total 2-night rate.
(In fact no different booking a week normal rates, and you always get shown average nightly rate, then when you expand each night might be a different rate ... I do check and sometime move hotels if one night is massively higher than the other nights due to something happening locally for one day during my booking)
On checkin as long as you present bogo voucher, the first night is then charged (whether cheapest or highest night) AND second night is free (whether cheapest or highest night)
As such always worth recording the separate nightly rates. You do hear the odd report of an IC trying to charge average rate when the second night is the higher priced night.
If you are spending all three nights fri+sat+sun, then check flex rate for each of Sat and Sun nights, and use bogo Fri+Sat or Sat+Sun to get the highest rate night of Sat or Sun free. My last bogo use, IC Amstel, both nights were same rate so made no difference.
