Does cabin light control during safety video predict service on SH flights

After reading a couple of threads about Club Europe it got me thinking about my experiences. I have had some brilliant flights in CE and a fare few dreadful ones. I began to think about what demarcated the superb crews and I think it is predictable from early on.

Obviously there is the greeting at the door (don't get me started on how the 'no need to check boarding card' policy equates to stand and chat and ignore the customer) but the truly superb crews IMO can be spotted by their dimming of cabin lights for the video, turning them on again during the exit demo and then dimming again for the rest of the video.

These crews seems to go on to deliver amazing service, presumably because their attention to detail extends throughout the flight. Anyone else noticed this?
