I do think they have, because they must have set the target to be very low, like 1 application per branch per week... When you set your target so low, it will exceed their target easily to create positive spin on this. It is like most company after a down year, say, they drop 75% of the sales, then next year got 1/3 of that 75% back, now they report 100% gain, lets celebrate, when you are still only 50% of what you used to be.
Also their cheesy in branch sales tactics are helping now but will suffer in 12 months when everyone closes their card.
I personally was told by staff on 3 occasions to open a card and cancel after my first year to avoid any fees.
