Note: The next time you travel through the Pacific islands, check the relevant Thorn Tree forum of LP for advice. No savvy pacific traveler would go to a small island like Tuvalu without leaving many days of buffer between the internal flight and international flight (unless both are on the same airline, and even that is a risk). Same goes for just about anywhere in the Pacific outside of Honolulu, Fiji, and Guam (the only real pacific island hubs). Island flights get cancelled all the time for weather or for no reason at all. Not to say that Fiji Airways isn't reputable, but this is very common.
