Completely unreliable. Airlines go out of business, suspend operation for a month while they fix their single plane, or storm comes in closing airport for a few weeks while rebuilt etc. I personally was stranded for several days in Pago Pago (American Samoa) which is far better served, and even there it happens. This is adventure travel, old world style. 90% of the time it goes smoothly, and 1% is really problematic, with the other 9% somewhere in between. Don't be discouraged, but know what you are getting into. You won't find arlines ontime stats to guide you, but flying ANZ whenever you can helps a lot.
