Cabin Crew 10 mins to landing
Travelled to Manchester this morning from Heathrow and heard the usual announcement from the cockpit nearing the end of the flight stating "Cabin Crew 10 mins to landing". Heard this many times before and always thought it took longer so thought I would time from the point of announcement to landing and it was 15 mins. Okay I am being pedantic here but if it's not 10 mins why don't they say 15 or whatever it will be, surely they must be informed how far out they are by the tower?
On the return journey this evening the captain came on and said blah blah blah we have 10 mins to final approach and then will be on the ground 10 mins after that. Okay fantastic 20 mins. PA goes silent then captain comes back on immeadiatly and states "Cabin Crew 10 mins to landing" !
