OP, that depends alot on what kind of trip I'm taking and to where and how long. If we are talking about business trips, I'm glad to leave the planning to someone else, since I got my hands full with items of the client meeting to take place at the destination to worry about those little details on where to stay. If we are talking about recreational/pleasure travel, then yes, I will likely take more interest in the planning involved, although the extend of my interest in the planning varies depending on where I'll be going to and how long.
