So I just picked up a ticket going from yyc-kix(stop)-hkg(cheaper then yyc-hkg), done at an agency cause I can't seem to find the route in UA site, also almost an argument with a travel agent who keep telling me my ita fare/availability info is bogus and tell me to go to Expedia to find the fare instead(while she is having trouble with her sabre input and suggested me to take a flight with 300 dollar more)...

So right now it is ticketed and I head to united trying to assign seat/FF#. Since it's a discounted ticket I was thinking of opening a MP account to avoid getting credited only 50% to aeroplan, at the itinerary I see the following:



my question is since MU is a Skyteam carrier wouldn't I only get 6400 with united and 1600 with whatever skyteam FF I put in?
