Yep, I buy F on AA all the time primarily due to the reasonable pricing. Of course, the other big factor is the better soft product and far superior CS I've experienced so far (AA CS treated me better as a non-status member buying domestic F tix than I got treated last year as a 1K buying int'l F tix on UA - and even now, I only have OW status, not AA status).

I think sincx is on the right track with the idea of discounted TODs, but I would prefer it implemented in a similar fashion to the current Y/B/M-UP fares, just with better discounting across the board. When CPUs on UA were first announced, I warned on FT that many elites would come to hate CPUs, pointing out that upgrade rates would go down and that "free" benefits are much more easily taken away - and I think that's proven to be true. Ideally, there should be some mechanism to allocate resources to demand - not to mention a less opaque system so UA can't continue abusing FFs while claiming otherwise.
