If the prices for Domestic F where at a level reasonable enough so that people would buy it then there would be no CPUs. UA especially is outrageous with their pricing. Even as a 1k I'm willing to pay a bit more to not play the CPU lottery on certain flights but UA doesn't price them reasonably. Examples are SFO to MIA and Bay Area to Hawaii. I've bought F on AA, AS and HA.

On the same note if they got rid of domestic upgrades I would no longer need to stay loyal to UA since there would be no distinction between my 2MM Platinum and earned 1K status.
