Well here is a random metric courtesy of Randy Petersen and Delta airlines.

Randy posted identical threads in his MP Delta forum and the FT Delta forum at the same time (approximately midnight this morning) about the massive change to Delta's FF plan.

I haven't read through the threads thoroughly to determine whether the MP posts were 'nicer' or 'more welcoming' (mostly because the wiki in the FT thread tell me everything I need to know anyway ^) but the numbers do tell a pretty clear story.
