My husband was told he could not upgrade to CW even when a reward seat was available because he head already done the online checkin. (was he ever MAD!) Ever since that happened, I've stopped doing OLC unless I already managed to get an upgrade, since I already get advance seat selection and see no other advantage to doing OLC.
