I replied by saying that not only did this not happen, but that I did not think there would be any 80's hire UA pilots on furlough. If there are 80's hire UA pilots on furlough, then I stand corrected, but then there really is something wrong with the system as there are clearly many significantly more junior pilots flying for UA currently, which means the system at UA is a mess.
You seem to have a reading problem or just want to argue. I did not say a LUAL pilot from the 80's on furlough, I said a LUAL pilot hired in the 80's would go behind a 2005 hire, and that would have happened with the 2005 hire captains they were trying to integrate Capt-Capt. So yes, that is true. You keep saying DOH is the way to go, I agree. Too bad that wasn't the process, I would have been much better off, as would most of the LUAL pilots.

I have no idea what you mean about significantly more junior pilots flying for UA recently.

The US Air debacle caused the union to look at a 3-prong system. That is what was used, the arbs used a common sense approach and we ended up with what we have, with everyone pretty close to where they were premerger. But overall, it was a list I could live with, one I don't see being overturned by some grumbling LCAL pilots who were upset their seniority grab failed. I agree with the poster above, it's a nuisance from a healing standpoint, but nothing concerning United Airlines.
