I put this post up for the BA FT folks when they came over in Dec 2012. I could probably spend a whole day doing just #1. The Palace can be a fun place to take pictures. Insadong definitely is a really fun place to visit, eat, drink, people watch, take pictures etc. Weekends do get really crowded there, especially if the weather is nice. Then afterwards, walk over to the Cheonggyechung stream. There might be some photo opportunities there. All of it easily accessible by subway and taxi. There seem to be lots of Tourist Information stands around that area so that can also give you lots of ideas.
