The point regarding the sUA 737s was that UA dumped it's 737s in order to meet CO's conditions of merging. CO had similar aircraft that could have also been parked, but it would have caused more CO furloughs and fewer on the UA side. That was something we all suspect (whether we're willing to admit it or not) was a back-door deal with the CO-ALPA Chairman and CO upper management.
Continental did park all their 733 and 735 aircraft. The same ones that UA parked, and only kept the NG Models 700, 800, 900 etc
