I am guessing they saw a pattern that indicated that I would like be at the very least unprofitable to them. Given what I have read here I seem to be on the low side for closure so perhaps newer cards have great scrutiny applied. I don't know it is all conjecture. I am still able to access the webiste (how I saw I was in spend down mode) and because of my "random" purchases still have about $150 or so on the card but from what I have read I should be able to just spend it away which I will confirm today so I don't know that I'd worry about spending to the penny (at least until you are in spend down mode).
