What airline offers amenity kits and pajamas on a 2.5-hour flight? As far as I know, even on night flights of this distance no airline would provide pajamas, though very few may give basic amenity kits.
Also, from a basic cost perspective, airlines strive to reduce their expenses to maximize their profits. You paid less than $1000 and you are expecting all the amenities and services of long-haul First Class which is typically priced at least 7-8 times the amount you paid.
I think you are mistaking my summary of the trade off between a sub USD 1k first class flight and a significantly more expensive and longer first class fare as 'demands'. I have zero expectations of receiving any of the above on a 2.5 hour flight but I wouldn't want anyone to read my review and expect the full bells and whistles first class Emirates experience (as per this amazing trip report which took in the longer Dubai - Bangkok route

And doesn't everyone pine after some Emirates first class pjs? One day, one day....!
