I certainly did not want to skip the hierarchy. But I do think it would be reasonable to expect someone representing AA contract or airline employee to be at the gate for connecting passengers who could have made the connection with a little support. They have a record of the flight and know what passengers are on it. We couldn't get a year support until we cleared immigration which used up valuable time. There may be different procedures in pvg but just trying to understand what services an A A customer can expect
