It's a shame CYs (oddly) don't give Golds breakfast, or this hotel would be a great choice for the area.
BTW, I haven't been to this hotel since the renovations and rebranding, so I'm curious what it looks like. Overall reviews have been quite favorable. I'm also curious how viable the free parking is in the nearby shopping center. It would be quite a "thrill" to stay at a Hawaiian hotel and not have to pay any nuisance fees (I understand there is no resort fee).

I stayed there for a week in June on a LNF rate of about $100 a night. It was a very nice stay. I had a standard room, but I would consider it a partial waterview/pool view. For some reason, they did not charge me for parking (I chatted up the front desk clerk pretty good, that's the only thing I can think of). I did pay for breakfast one morning, and it really is not worth the price, although for free it would be GREAT. My only issue with the whole area was the VOG. It rolled in every day around noon.
