Hello--You might try Mobal.com. We've been using their "old style phone" for our international trips for a few years now. It works all over the world EXCEPT from the US. We've used it in Thailand, Turkey, France, Italy, Belgium, The Netherlands, UK, Poland, Austria, Germany, Czech Republic and China, so far!

Of course--no data, it's just a plain old phone we use to make local calls or to call back to the US. I think we paid $29 for it a few years ago, and a quick check on their website says it's still $29.

The down side? The calls are a bit spendy--about $1.50 a minute. But for us, that isn't a problem as we generally use the phone for very short calls, such as calling our greeter to check into an apartment, etc. So far the most we've spent on a trip is about $20.00. Our trips are usually 4-5 weeks. The charges are billed to our credit card, and we've never been overcharged or had a problem with billing.

It's always worked flawlessly, and I love the convenience of not messing with sim cards in each country, etc. We just charge it up before a trip, and it's ready to go when we hit the ground.
Happy Travels!
