20 TP ET flights aren't so bad. 10 TP ET flights do require excruciatingly high number of them to attain/retain Gold though. It's pretty easy while you are sitting on the flight. It's before and after the flight that is a right pain in the neck. So it's easier to earn 20 TPs through a single flight than two.

Hence my support for 100 BA metal sectors in one membership year = BA Gold, regardless of TPs.

I suppose I am reminded of my first year of OWE which was earned through discount economy - almost all domestic - flights in Australia, so I have quite a bit of sympathy towards those who are showing solid loyalty to the airline but maybe finding it hard to attain/retain Gold. It's a lot of flying in discount economy to attain/retain Gold, and it is definitely harder to fly in ET than flying in CE no matter what people say about CE.

However I do support increasing the minimum sector or TP requirement on the carrier and/or general increase in required number of TPs.
