A friend has a LHR-JNB ticket booked on Expedia, in X I believe and there's availability in Upper to upgrade with miles.

Does anyone know if VS would process the upgrade if I'm able to reissue their ticket to an upgradeable booking code? Presumably I'd have to do the initial re-issue with Expedia, but I wasn't sure whether VS would still do the upgrade with miles.
