I wish I'd been born 20 years earlier with the same life style so that I could have enjoyed climbing the spiral staircase to the lounges, or later seating, on the UD in the classics.
I've probably flown both the -100 and -200 versions in the distant past before becoming a plane geek. In fact I remember as a child flying PanAm to USA with my parents and being allowed upstairs to view the lounge and cockpit when the plan landed. There's a photo somewhere at my parent's.
One of the benefits (and maybe incentives) for going on a trip to Syria several years ago was the opportunity to fly the -SP. Those planes in the Syrian Air fleet still had the original interiors from 30 years ago. Nostalgic!
And sadly, we'll now see fewer -400s about.
