GUC and Upgrade Availability
I have a TATL flight coming up and have put off selecting my 2014 Choice DM benefits because I'm thinking about choosing the GUC just for that flight and probably another international or two flights this year. Is there a way I can find out right now if there is upgrade inventory available for the flights I have booked (departure and return)?

Also, if there is no inventory right now, is there a typical time frame when they open it up? Oh, and, I've never used any instrument to upgrade a coach fare in the past. How does one go about using a certificate (SWU) if there is eligibility?
