Honestly I'd not stay in NF. There really isn't much that is great about either side that would take more than a few hours to see. Staying in Buffalo or Toronto, which have many more reward options, allows you to be within an easy drive and lots to see.
Another option which is good for a little romantic weekend would be Niagra on the Lake. There is a Hilton property there.
