Well... Sure, there are vocal people on all sides of any question, but if DL can sort past the noise, there's actually some very valuable customer feedback here that they can/should take into account.

I certainly don't mind that they're testing new foods and I'm always happy when there are more options, but I think it's heading in the wrong direction.

My observation with DL is that the changes that they've been implementing over the last few years all seem to be conceived entirely on spreadsheets and Powerpoint decks with little thought to real life implementation.

SDC, MQDs, JVs, Boarding priorities, upgrade policies, etc. all seem at best overly convoluted. (And given the clearly accepted failure of things like the award calendar it's not hard to wonder whether these things are intentionally complex so as to leave even the most frequent fliers confused and frustrated.)

I happen to think that the idea that this thread evolved into - going back to basics - is one that DL would be very smart to consider.

(Not that I think they will...but there it is.)

This whole conversation has degenerated into the same three or four posters who complain about everything-now complaining that an actual enhancement "just isn't good enough for them".

Also, this rather irrational preoccupation with free booze is a bit unsettling...
