Same here. I think this is definitely in preparation for some upcoming changes for this card that also involves AA as has been speculated for a while now. Hoping that it will be (1) Ability to transfer to TYPs to AA, and (2) getting AAdmirals Club (and US Club) access.
That seems like a pipe dream to me. I highly doubt Citi would make a card that completely destroys the value of another card they offer. MAYBE transfer to AA, but it would likely only apply to base points earned with the Prestige, not flight + any other points in the TY account. That's my bet, at least.
