Thanks for the tip, I've actually found a combination through PVG which should work:

MU5552, LYI-PVG (15:25-16:35)
KA897 PVG-HKG (19:40-22:20)

Many thanks for the help, on the way up north I'm actually going through Hongqiao (CAN-SHA-LYI) but on the way back PVG seems like the best way to work it.
