4 hour max for connections only applies to domestic fares. You can do a stopover at ANY change point up to 24 hours on an international ticket, and it doesn't break the fare.

My upcoming trip CHI/TXL, I hava 22 hour stopover at SLC outbound, and 23 1/2 hours at CDG on the way back.

If you do a multi-city search "by schedule", as opposed to "by price", you should be able to choose whichever KL AMS/MAN flight you want. AF segments, I alwayz hafto call to book

So, you may hafto call, but it's CERTAINLY doable!
