The way the scheme works is what one would naturally expect.
Exactly. I actually timed my trip to coincide with my new membership year but then realised that I couldn't make it to LGW from NCL on the day of travel in order to make my international flight so had to book for the day before. So it could have easily been avoided if I'd engaged my brain. I think I was just bring hopeful on the off chance.
