I tried this trick for the first time tonight T-24 R0 T-8 R3 and I snipped the seat (would not have gotten it on WL). Although happy to get my upgrade cleared on this fully booked flight (not a single empty seat on the 777) I now wonder how many seats I lost out on because of this ...
