Flying from DEN to ATL today and when checking in I put I'd give up my seat for another flight for $1000 of travel vouchers. I paid 150 for my flight so I figured whatever. Well waiting to board I got called and offered 12k miles from a supervisor and $400 in vouchers to be placed on standby for a flight a hour later and reserve a seat for one two hours later in case I don't make the stand by. I ended up with three times extra what my original ticket was just to go get breakfast and kill my layover from 4 hours to around one once I get to ATL.
