Folks:

I need your help for a colleague, E50K, upgraded from G (Flex fare) to R (Business Upgrade) on an upcoming trip YVR-YYZ-YOW (upgraded on both segments).

They are flying on Tuesday, Feb 25 as follows:

AC1162, YVR-YYZ
depart: 11:00 arrive: 18:30

AC1116 YYZ-YOW
depart: 20:10 arrive: 21:16

Because of YYZ's MCT they were not able to book AC464 departing YYZ at 19:10, and arriving in YOW at 20:16 (one hour earlier).

They will not have any checked luggage. Presuming they arrive in YYZ on-time, will they be able to catch AC464 (since complimentary standby is permitted, YYZ-YOW and v/v)? What has to be available? According to flightsats today, the 19:10 flight is:

J/2 C/2 D/2 Z/0 R/0
Y/0 B/0 M/0 U/0 H/0 Q/0 V/0 W/0 S/0 T/0 L/0 K/0 G/0 A/0

I know this information can change anytime, but presuming it remains unchanged and the fact that my colleague is on R class (YYZ-YOW), will they be able to get a J seat on AC464, without paying?
