I can't imagine that you would be entitled to anything substantial. Most likely they will just apologize and blame the mail/weather/ etc. Since there was no actual issue with a flight (cxl, mx, etc) I don't think they're obligated to do anything. If you do email 1k I would be very gentle with explaining what happened and see if they volunteer something.
