Probably not a problem but just to make life easy leave room in the small carry on for your purse. Often makes security, boarding, etc. easier as i find carrying tubes to be a PITA. Also when traveling with tubes I sometimes ask the FA if it can be placed in the FC coat closet. Keeps someone with roll aboard from smashing into it.
