It's very important to research Tripadvisor and this site before staying at a Doubletree. The inconsistencies are remarkable, and in my opinion has become the defining characteristic of the brand besides the cookie. On one hand, you have theWit Doubletree (Chicago) which is one of the best U.S. properties I've stayed at, and on the other you have the Richmond Doubletree Downtown which should be condenmend by corporate and is one of the dirtiest hotels I've ever stayed in.
