My return time was recorded as 11:12 AM which I assume is when they scanned the bar code in the window and my printed receipt shows the rate for 4 days plus a $26.00 charge for two hours.
Is it me or should they have at least give enough of a grace period for their employee to walk over and scan the car in?
I'm sure I was parked in the return lane at least a minute so wasn't that when I returned the car? After all the clock started ticking at the counter before I even walked to the car.
Sorry, IMHO, you weren't a minute late you were 61 minutes late. If you picked the car up at 10:11am then it was due back at 10:11am. They gave you a 1 hour leeway for return .... why would you expect more?
As mentioned before, where do they draw the line?
Seems to me that you tried to cut it too close. Live and learn.
