Noise-wise, the 787 is a very good aircraft. Fully in line with what one would expect from the latest generation aircrafts.

That said, mood lighting and the other features often raved about on the 787 doesn't appeal to me one bit. I'll pick the 747 any day unless the 787 takes me closer to my destination. (IE it's sometimes more convenient to fly into EWR than JFK...)
