DL Vacations sometimes offers great deals. We just booked a package a few days ago in which the discounted airfare to Hawaii was less than $900 per person -- DL wanted more than $1800 for these flights directly, and the lowest airfare on any airline for our travel dates was $1600. $4500 in savings is well worth forgoing MQD for us.

Published fares often appear when you change your flight, but the easiest way to do it is to contract a travel agent or DL directly. There's a booking fee, but you can avoid it by holding a reservation and then having the agent make changes to it.
