I am a Hilton Honors member, but no status (using my points-- mainly from Am Ex cc-- as I get enough and have a need). As noted, DT would be $198 cash or 40k points. HGI $249 or 30k points (yeah the match seemed strange to me, too). The one DT we stayed in, at MIA, was indeed dated. We are staying one in Flagstaff; recently converted from another brand, and refurbished. I think we'll go with HGI. Probably grab some milk and fruit in the morning, even for cash, and snack at the US Airways Club and on board the flight (1st class to SEA; I know we won't get a full meal).
