what we need, really need is DoT protection for hotel fares, similar to air fares, had anyone booked this hotel as part of a package it would have been covered by 399.88... wonder how does one get new regulation... might have to look into the process, letter to DoT, congressman/woman... again this is NOT about this deal, but in general, there needs to be some consumer protection to avoid the unilateral nature of some of these hotel T&Cs...
I mean, they write the agreement terms for a reason, so they don't lose thousands of dollars because an intern typed in the wrong number. I don't think it's right to demand "protection" against something that's so obviously a mistake. Who knows how many bookings they had to dig though to clear them all out. A week seems pretty reasonable to me for something that's going to occur so far in advance
