Me too.

Flightaware suggests it was a AA 738 or DL CJ9; the CJ9 doesn't have a rear galley.

If it's a 738, wouldn't 14 be the 1st exit row, non-recline, where the "recliners" were?, 15 would be the exit row with 3 kids under 15, and 16 would be OP's observation point. Unless OP or I have the row numbers incorrect.
