I hear what you're saying. It's too late for me now In the past Delta was pretty much the only option that fit most of my travel patterns. Were I starting my flying today, there is no way I would lock into Delta alone (and maybe not at all). Now if Delta were to offer a Million Miler program that offered superior perks ve the other legacies, that would make the decision to fly Delta a no brainer. It just seems these days more flyers are considering playing the field. So offering something to a flyer that truly doesn't cost the airline much and provides revenue from the flyer for 8+ years, seems like a win to me. But obviously not to Delta
