La Brea Tar Pits are alright, but might be worth a visit since it is also next to LACMA and the Grove/Farmer's Market is right down the street.

Chinatown/KoreaTown/Lil Tokyo all have plenty of places to eat, but for walking around, I'd recommend Little Tokyo. Chinatown and Ktown are all pretty spread out, while Little Tokyo has some nice shops and a nice little village to hang out in.
