Apex hotels are primarily business-focused, and, due to their locations, tend to have very good weekend rates. There's one near where I work which is very popular with visitors from other offices.
You are indeed correct! This is what happens when I am up at 05A for a conference call with EMEA and I am on the Westcoast of America for two days of meetings- spelling is one of the first things to go....

Hotel in reference is Apex City of London on Seething Lane.

Apparently it seems to be very reasonable also for tourists?
