I'm sorry the OP feels the thread has been hijacked and that he/she has been attacked. However there is a lot of difference between asking for an upgrade and asking about an upgrade, as well as between an operational upgrade (op-up) and a complimentary upgrade. I suspect English may not be the OP's first language but neither is it for a majority of regular posters in this forum as far as I know, and it is unfortunate that the use of one word made it sound as if the OP expects his/her new status would entitle him/her to upgrades.

Miles & More telephone agents are often unfamiliar with what actually happens on the ground (or in the air). If they always gave you accurate information many of the threads in this forum might be unnecessary. Also different airlines within M&M operate different policies on upgrades. I've never flown on SN and am not familiar with their policy but I'd be surprised if theirs is very different from LH or LX (i.e. 'free' upgrades only if they need your seat).

Returning to the OP's question I've had quite a few op-ups (Economy to Business) while I was FTL as reported in the op-up thread. However, it was during the time when op-ups were mostly based on passengers' status rather than the booking class and I regularly fly on routes which don't get too many M&M status passengers. How do I know? From luggage tags! Also FAs usually come to greet SEN/HON and take their meal orders first.
