Hello.. We are going to be in Turkey for 5 days.. arriving Monday afternoon and leaving Sunday morning. Arriving and Departing from Istanbul.

Would it be possible to see the major sights in Istanbul and still have a side trip to Cappadocia? If yes, how much time do we need to spend in Cappadocia?

Also, are there any specific areas to avoid in Istanbul for both visiting and staying (travelling with young family)?
