Where exactly did I say that I expect free upgrades? All I'm asking is whether or not it happens with Star Alliance members. Seeing as during my past experiences with Silver status (SkyTeam), it did in fact happen, I'm wondering if the same occurs here.
Between Economy & Economy Comfort there wasn't thát much of a big difference compared to B.Light and B.Flex, but it was given to me at random without having to ask and whatnot. If it's possible for one alliance, why wouldn't it be for the other?

Here's another tip for you: some SEN's or any other higher tier memebers can also be spotted by browsing Internet forums, where they trash lower members purely because they asked a question, that gets twisted into a totally different direction.
I asked whether it happens, not that I demand or expect it, but asking doesn't cost anything.

All of you started out as blue, you all were newly introduced to the frequent flyer scheme and had questions of your own.

I commute on a 2-weekly basis because I study abroad, I spend every single cent of my own money on my travels. I earn 125 miles per segment, and won't ever get SEN, HON and whatnot without a job that enables me to travel frequently; in all kinds of classes, airlines and destinations, but I do work for every single flight I take, for every time I extend my 3-monthly subscriptions. Please tell me how that deserves a lot less respect than SOME people who have a higher status, purely because they are required to travel a lot for their job, and mostly get the flights fully paid for?
But does that mean I should get treated differently? No, it doesn't. You might get upgrades, get priority luggage delivery, fly in higher classes, but as a person I am on the exact same level as you.

One thing that will never change me, is the class I fly in or tier I possess. I will always be polite and helpful, whether I'm a blue member talking to a HON-circle member, or a HON-circle myself talking to someone who is blue or doesn't even have a frequent flyer card. I was in the same position as all others people pursuing a (higher) status, and simply having it, doesn't mean I should change who I am and act cocky to people who would like to ask about my experiences. Just because some people look up to you, doesn't mean you should look down at them.

How sad is it that I have to click on this topic every time a new comment is posted, fearing off-topic posts and trashtalk, rather than an actual helpful answer? Out of the 4 pages of comments, I can count them on 1 hand.

All of this aside; I would once again like to sincerely thank everyone who has given me a correct, helpful answer, and I sincerely hope we can stay on topic and refer to my actual question instead.
